Rape and Rapist

Rape is a social menace, like murder. It’s mostly an act of biological criminals. A rapist and a murderer both require triggers to act. A murderer’s trigger is mostly external, whereas that of a Rapist is internal. The most heinous is when a rapist and a murderer remain alive in one frame.

I do not take that Rapist acts only on external prompts like stimulating dresses, if so, girl kids would not have been raped or even killed, and most of the victims would not have their relations, distant or near. How would you explore the act of a father on his own minor/teen/adult daughters? Why brothers are not found to do so on their first blood sisters? Reasons of all these cannot be encased in one box.

I am not a social psychologist, nor a man of behavioral science. But I feel that if the state could take up this issue of social danger more seriously down deep from its roots than limiting their efforts in catching and punishing the offenders, the rape scenario in India would have changed to a great extent. Deterrents could not stop murder from time immemorial, so disease of rape cannot be eradicated totally from a society. It can only be contained.
